Josie is going to be 9 years old on Sunday! I come very close to crying every year on her birthday. I can feel time ticking away and I am so very aware of how quickly she is growing up. It saddens me because I just appreciate every day with her.
Now don't get me wrong...I do treasure my boys, too. Alex is my firstborn. Daniel has special needs that have really shaped me into who I am today. Josh is my baby. But there is something different and special about my girl. She was born with a tender, nurturing nature. I know God has a special call on her life because she has been telling me since she was 6 years old that she wanted to be a pastor. She has never been ashamed of her faith and every teacher she has had in school has told me that we would be so proud to hear her share her faith with her classmates. She really has been amazing at every age. I'll probably still cry this year when she turns 9, but I am looking forward to another year with my daughter. Because I know 9 is going to be just as wonderful as every year before!
